Cascade bonsai pot of 15 x 15 x 20 cm approx. with saucer. Unglazed. Made in Yixing. Available in two designs.

Cascade pots are ceramics designed for use in cascading bonsai shape (Kengai) or semi-cascading (Han-kengai).

Cascading bonsai remind us of trees that grow on cliffs or in steep areas. These styles are planted in tall pots that allow the author to have the necesary space for their modeling and design.

Yixing pottery

Yixing pots are named after their city of origin. Historically, this Chinese city has been famous for its extraction of high-quality clays.

Originally, this clay was used to make teapots. Later, they also began to work with other types of ceramics, mainly pots for bonsai.

NOTE: Behind each of these pots there is a craftsman following traditional methods and, therefore, each of the pieces can have different finishes. The dimensions indicated are approximate and correspond to the exterior of the complete assembly.
