Tillandsia Natural Star composition

Tillandsia Natural Star composition. Composition formed by a wooden star with three different tillandsia species: ionantha, brachycaulos abdita and melanocrater. Tillandsias are a group of plants that belong to the Bromeliad family, originating from South America. They grow both in deserts and in tropical forests. In recent years they have become popular in gardening, since its cultivation is extremely easy and does not require too much attention.

CHARACTERISTICS:

- Lighting: It is a semi-shade plant so avoid direct sun in summer, especially during the hottest hours. In winter, place the plant in a bright place.

- Temperature: It can live in a wide range of temperatures, from 5ºC to 40ºC, it is advisable never to reach these extremes. It can be grown both indoors and outdoors avoiding frost. In case of frost it is advisable to protect it.

- Watering: Water it by spraying until it is completely soaked once a week, it should not be watered with a watering can. If the plant is near the heating it is advisable to spray it every day. Otherwise spraying once a week is enough. The ideal is to use soft water, that is, low mineralization, rain, distilled water, osmosis, etc.

- Place of cultivation / support: Tillandsia does not need a substrate or pot. There are hundreds of places and containers where it can be placed. Remember that the only function of the roots (they are usually very short and even non-existent in many cases) is for support. The objective of the set up is to hold her and she will already absorb all the nutrients through the leaves.
